A 16th century pub nestled in Staplecross, East Sussex.

We strive to deliver tradition within these historic walls with a modern twist, all in a fun, welcoming environment.

Why are our pizzas so damn good?! 🍕

Geeky answer for those interested 🤓
We blend high protein bread flour and 0 Italian flour with a high wheat germ for extra flavour and goodness. 65% hydration, some yeast, salt and extra virgin olive oil with an over night bulk ferment, we then ball it up in the morning and leave for one more day in the fridge to ensure a strong gluten structure giving us a crispy crust and that fat airy rise!
